Katie Howard lives with her husband, two children, a dog, cat, and four chickens in far East Gippsland.  They live next to a magical looking lake in the middle of a deep, dark forest.

 

She enjoys walking her dog, Alfie around the lake.  They are always on the lookout for Lake Pixies and stray unicorns, but haven't been lucky enough to spot any yet ...

 

Katie has been a primary school teacher for more than twenty years and loves sharing her stories with the children she teaches.  When she read Henry Benett and the Hidden Book of Magic to her students they asked her to publish it.  So she did!
